During the first two semesters, in total 60 ECTS, each university gives course elements on basic BME-topics. The content of those two semesters, offered by each consortium university is comparable and will contain the following:

These course elements define the basic level of competence of students. With these courses the student can follow every specialisation, offered in the third semester. When a student already followed a course element in the Bachelor’s training, (s)he will choose an elective course element, offered by the university.
Traineeship
A traineeship has to be followed in a hospital or industry. All universities of the consortium have an extensive network of contacts in hospitals and industries. You can think about a traineeship at one of the following companies:
Moreover we will use the extensive Eucomed network of European medical technology industries. And we will use the EEN-network of mainly SME-companies.
Each university organises traineeships for the students that are running semester 1 and 2. As a student, you should discuss your traineeship with the local coordinator.
