In Aachen the specialisation Tissue engineering is offered for the third semester. The tissue engineering specialization will contain the following course elements, during this semester:
* Biology of cultured cells;
* Biosafety and ethics;
* Fermentation technology;
* Bioreactors;
* Tissue engineering of soft tissue, nerve tissue, bone and cartilage.
